About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yards Person to assist in the day-to-day operations of our yard facility including recycling of materials and general housekeeping of the surrounding gardens. It’s ideal for someone with a hands-on attitude who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a team.

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and free from hazards at all times.

  • Sole responsibility of all the recycling on site.

  • Maintaining the surrounding gardens including lawns, bushes and car park.

  • Asist with unloading of materials such as milk and cream, etc.

  • Ensure all equipment and machinery is maintained and in good working order.

  • Support the site maintenance person with ad-hoc duties.

  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE.

  • Provide excellent customer service when dealing with clients or drivers.

 

Working Hours:

  • Day shift

  • Monday to Friday

  • Night shift and Weekends – Occasionally if needed

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or similar environment is preferred.

  • Good time management and teamwork skills.

  • Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.

  • A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Forklift and Counterbalance licence.

  • Experience in construction, plant hire, or builder’s merchants is a plus.
