Job Description:
We are now looking for an experienced Forklift Truck (FLT) and Warehouse Operative to join the Beechdean family, at a very exciting time, as we move into another chapter of development.

Working 45 hours over five days Monday to Friday, no weekends, reporting to the Materials Manager. The main purpose will be to accurately, safely and timely pick and load finished product on vehicles for despatching from site in an efficient, and secure manner.

Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities require an understanding of all Beechdean standards in the production of ice cream and related products. All activities to be carried out within the scope of all policies and procedures of the group, in adherence of a safe and hygienically controlled environment.

 

Duties:

  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping at all times according to the Hygiene procedures to keep the working environment clean and safe and to ensure the delivery of safe products.

  • Supply product and packaging as required to the Secondary packaging area.

  • Support Production as and when required.

  • Prepare pallets for despatch

  • Operate the pallet shrink wrapper

  • Load / Assist the loading of trucks

  • Complete paperwork in a correct and readable manner to ensure total Traceability according to the “Traceability” procedure

  • Complete manual load manifest

  • Work in a safe manner and follow the Health & Safety policy and procedures

  • Carry out any other task requested by Management, or as necessary from time to time, as commensurate with the role

  • Assist Goods out Manager at all spare times

  • To be audit ready everyday

  • Any other duties required by the business

 

Essential:

  • Valid and in-date Counterbalance FLT and Reach truck licenses

  • Possess an RTITB (or equivalent) license – in date.

  • Knowledge Skills

  • Ability to communicate confidently

  • Reliable

  • Computer Literate especially Excel

  • An understanding of Health and Safety Legislation

  • Attention to detail

  • Excellent numerical ability

  • Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
