Hours of work: 46 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Job Purpose
We are looking for experienced food manufacturing professionals with a background in ice cream production. There are various roles in processing, pasteurisation, packing, and production supervision. Beechdean supports the safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacture of ice cream products while maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
Overview of Key Responsibilities we are looking for:
Production Operations
· Operate and monitor equipment involved in the manufacture of ice cream products, ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
· Support the day-to-day running of production lines, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
· Follow all company procedures relating to food safety, hygiene, and health and safety.
Process & Pasteurisation
· Assist with the preparation, mixing, homogenisation, and pasteurisation of ice cream mixes.
· Monitor processing parameters such as temperature, flow rates, and holding times to ensure product safety and consistency.
· Complete required production and pasteurisation records accurately.
Packing & Line Operations
· Oversee or assist with packing operations including filling, sealing, labelling, and palletising finished products.
· Ensure packaging lines run efficiently while maintaining product quality and presentation standards.
· Carry out routine checks to ensure packaging specifications are met.
Quality & Food Safety
· Maintain high standards of hygiene and GMP within production areas.
· Carry out quality checks including weights, temperatures, and visual inspections.
· Ensure compliance with HACCP procedures and report any deviations.
Team Support & Leadership
· Support and guide production teams where required, particularly during busy production periods.
· Assist with training new employees on production procedures and safe equipment use.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors, technical teams, and engineering to resolve production issues.
Continuous Improvement
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
· Support trials, product launches, and new process developments when required.
Skills & Experience
· Previous experience working in an ice cream or dairy manufacturing environment.
· Experience across one or more production areas such as processing, pasteurisation, packing, or production supervision.
· Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and manufacturing best practices.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a production team.
· Good attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
